Changing of ꙃ to ѕ, ѳ to ф, оу to ѹ, etc.
[edit]The user 70.74.112.20 has attempted to change, in the original pronunciation/names of letters, ꙃ to ѕ, ѳ to ф, and оу to ѹ. Additionally, some citations were deleted. All of this was done without any discussion, and each time, these changes were reverted by multiple editors, namely Vorziblix, Drmccreedy, and Jingiby. I would like to invite 70.74.112.20 to discuss these changes and make an argument for them. While the IP user has been blocked, this block expires today, so discussion can begin very soon. Pinging @Vorziblix, Drmccreedy, and Jingiby: to make aware, as well, so that further discussion can take place. BirdValiant (talk) 16:23, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Citing letter names
[edit]There have been several edits recently, mostly by 46.34.233.135 and Thulean enjoyer involving changing letter names.
- Some of these changes have to do with well established phonological differences (тврьдо -> твердо, an East Slavic form after yer loss);
- others are phonologically dubious (чрьвь -> червль, vl' is normally created via iotation which should not occur here);
- "Decimal" (dotted) i has been changed from i to "īžei,ìnit'", I was only able to find evidence of "ìnit'" in modern non-academic circles (of dubious quality);
- Iotated letters have received seemingly unsourced names (ѡмъ, ѫдь, ѭта, ѧнъ, ѩта).
I feel like this warrants a review / citation of all letter names. Maks-s15 (talk) 08:44, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
Them being from a guy named "thulean enjoyer" is a huge red flag + some supposed names are from a well-known forgery (Bukvitsa) + I speak several slavic languages and so some stuff like "ѥръ means creation" would've remained in modern languages in some form. I'm surprised these edits even stayed for this long 213.130.92.59 (talk) 10:50, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
