This article is written in British English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, defence, artefact, analyse) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

England was one of the Geography and places good articles, but it has been removed from the list. There are suggestions below for improving the article to meet the good article criteria. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

Is London the capital?

Certainly it's the capital of the United Kingdom and England historically, but can it really be the capital given that there exists no governmental entity called "England"? Gazingo (talk) 19:02, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Adding the Coat of Arms to this page

I added the coat of arms to this page because it seemed right to do so. Besides, Scotland's page has its coat of arms right next to its country flag, so I just did the same for the England page. RicLightning (talk) 23:50, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That is correct...there is no present Royal Coat of Arms of England..... what is being displayed here is the UK coat of arms. Moxy🍁 23:57, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
